Additionally, Ross is onboard as the new series’ official cover artist. But this time, Busiek is collaborating with artist Yildiray Cinar, who has previously worked on X-Men and Astro City. Just like the original Marvels series, The Marvels will take readers on a journey through Marvel history with tales told across several decades. Marvel has announced that The Marvels #1 will be available in April. But now, the new series finally has a release window. Marvels is a four-issue miniseries comic book written by Kurt Busiek, painted by Alex Ross and edited by Marcus McLaurin. Naturally, the news piqued fans’ interest, since the title is so close in name to Busiek and Alex Ross’ legendary 1994 miniseries, Marvels. It’s been almost a full year since Marvel announced that Kurt Busiek would be returning to the House of Ideas for a new ongoing series called The Marvels. ![]()
